So I'm not the best!

I always say I am going to do better at posting and then I let almost a whole year go by! Well here it is, I am adding this to my every other day to do list. My goal is to post every other day. Now I'm only human so you can't stone me if I miss a day!!!

So what has been going on you ask? A whole heap! My girls are now 6 and 3!!!

Alyssa grew and learned so much over the past year and I am kicking myself for not writing it all down. (The major motivator for the every other day posting). I was a smart mommy and caught it all on film though so at least I will have the pictures to jog my memory. Alyssa is very much her own person and in her own little world most of the time. She has a very active imagination and is not afraid to use it. She has not outgrown her drama queen status and has become very much the diva princess. We have been cultivating her tough side though. This year she played T-ball and learned there is NO crying in baseball!

Abby has turned into such an explorative little one! She is very inquisitive and watches her sister like a hawk. If Alyssa isn't careful Abby is quick to point out her downfall. But unlike her big sister she is always on the look out for her. Abby takes on the role of sister's keeper. She is always aware of where sissy is and if she is missing. Abby also will never ask for something unless there is some for sissy too!

Jeremy and I will be celebrating our 8 year anniversary tomorrow! It is hard to believe that we have been married that long and all that has happened in that short amount of time. I am more in love with him now than I was then. And that love continues to grow more and more everyday. Here is the love of my life:


Our latest project has been landscaping the yard. We are putting in a pool patio and fixing the flower beds that were here when we moved in. I also put in a bed of my own and we got the girl's swing set anchored and mulched in. Here is part of what we got done this weekend:

I have also been going to school during all of this. I have 14 more months until I will have my BA degree in Christian Ministry. Then I am going to get my teaching certificate. Eventually when I decide I have recovered from being school for the last 26 years I will go back and get my MA in Education but that's a ways off. In my "spare" (hahahahaha!!!!) time I am still scrapbooking. Maybe on Wednesday's post I'll put up some of my recent work.

So you can see we have been busy busy busy for the past few months. It is simply amazing what God has challenged us to and brought us through. I cannot wait to see what is in store. And I will be blogging it better, I promise!

I really need to post more

Okay so I know I always have an excuse but at least I am trying! The past couple of months did not slow down as I had hoped. It doesn't look to be slowing in the near future either. Alyssa started Kindergarten about a month ago. We got her into a really nice Christian School and she LOVES it there. Abby also enjoys a little mommy and me time in the morning while sissy is at school. Alyssa is still in dance, doing soccer again this fall, participating in the chuch children's Christmas musical, and involved in Girl Scouts. Which means I have turned into Mom's Taxi Service. I can't complain though I love to be busy. Not only to I work part time at the school as the cleaning lady (this pays Alyssa's tuition) I also volunteer in the classroom. I have also taken on being the Daisy Scout Leader. I am also the secretary of the Family Readiness Group (FRG) for Jeremy's National Guard Unit. Not to mention still doing Worship Team and Impact at our church. Oh and did I mention I start school again in three weeks. Call me crazy but I am loving life right now. God continues to work and bless my life in ways I cannot explain. Jeremy is doing great, he loves his job and being a soldier again. He is also going to school. Abby, she's just Abby plugging along with whatever comes her way. Life is great right now and I am loving it! THANK-YOU LORD!!!! So until next time... God Bless!!

Where does the time go?

Wow it seems like just yesterday I was buried under snow and now here I am getting ready to set up the swimming pool. So much has happened in the last six months. Alyssa turned five, she is so excited to get to start school this fall. She has also been keeping up with ballet and started soccer this spring. Abby turned two and is as busy as can be. We enrolled her in a gymnastics tumbling class that allows her to burn off some energy. In March I had my appendix removed, that was an adventure. Then we did Relay for Life again. Now we are just settling down from the Fourth and back into a normal life swing for a while. I had set aside my scrapping for a while because I was just so busy. But I have geared back up to get ready for the County Fair in August. Oh another big thing, I started volunteering with the Youth Group at our church back in March. I have been having a ton of fun with the teens and not only do I get to teach them about God and His plans for us but they teach me so much as well. So other than all of that and worship team, being a wife and mom, and well anything else I add to season our life not much has been going on! So I'll let ya run. Until next time... God Bless!!

Am I Behind or What????

Okay so I know I haven't posted in a while. We had some computer/internet issues and we have just gotten back up and running. Life has been crazy beautiful in the past five months. My mom accepted the Lord into her life and has been baptised! My sister-in-law found a wonderful guy and they are getting married and having a baby, a little out of order but a blessing nonetheless. Alyssa turned five two weeks ago, where has my baby girl gone. Abby is 19 months old! I'm loosing my little girls a little each day, I know what my mom meant when I was growing up now about stay little as long as you can. Jeremy joined the National Guard (grrrrr) but I'll adapt. Life has just been full of God's blessings. I love our home, all of the new friends we have made in the past year, and most of all my family and our faith in God. I can't imagine a better start to our year. Although I would be happy if it would quit snowing. We have gotten 24+ inches in the last 36 hours. Well I better run. Until next time... God Bless!

Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!

Life is starting to slow a bit. We are finally in the new house. We are slowly unpacking boxes and getting things put away. School is going well. I love my job. The girls are doing great. Jeremy loves his job. PRAISE THE LORD!!!! We got our Wyatt puppy and he is so much fun. He has already learned to play fetch! I am going to the women's retreat for our church tonight and tomorrow. Mom is going with me. I am really excited. I need to refocus and get my relationship with God back on track, it has strayed a bit lately. The scrapbook retreat is in a month, I am super excited! It will be nice to have a couple of weekends with no stress! I absolutely love our new home. It is coming together quite nicely. It is also nice to purge and get rid of unnecessary "stuff". STRESS!!!!

Well the house has finally closed. With that has brought about moving. Oh and it wouldn't be my life if that was the only thing going on. I started a new job. Extremely part time at the local scrapbook store. One or two days a week three and a half hour shifts. Its nice because I can have a little me time but still be home with the girls. Oh then of course there is school, church, directing the play... Tomorrow we go to Spokane to pick up Wyatt, our new Golden Retriever puppy! I am so excited about that and will be putting pictures in my slide show soon! So we are packing boxes, cleaning the apartment, ripping up old carpet, painting walls, and moving in general. It has been an exciting month that I can't wait to be over. I'll be happy when life settles down for the winter. I seem to relax better when we aren't going ninty miles an hour and that's hard to do with three feet of snow on the ground. Well I am going to head to bed. Until next time, God Bless.

Am I Crazy?!?!?!?!

Okay so I don't have enough hours in my days as it is. So what do I do? I go and get a part time job! It's mostly for me though. I had selfish reasons in mind when I talked to the owner of the local scrapbook store. It will be a few hours a day I get to interact with adults. It will allow me to expand the knowledege of my passion. It will allow me time to create and teach others to create. It will allow my husband to spend some much needed nurturing time with our girls. It will allow me to pitch in with the financial aspects of our life. Okay so maybe not all my reasons were selfish. It's a part time job so I will be home with the girls in the afternoon. This means I have to stay on top of my homework so I don't get behind at school. I will work some Saturdays but hopefully not too many.
We are so close to the house closing I can taste it! I don't want to get to excited though because then something might go wrong. I just have to put my complete faith in the Lord and know he will do what is best for us and his glory. I pray that he will give me the courage to accept what he wants for us, even if it isn't what I want for us. I have the hardest time with that one. You know the one where God says, "Amy this is what is best, it is for your own good and My glory". And I say, "But God..." and He says, "Don't question, just accept." and I say, "Yes, Lord". I am learning though that things happen in his time and not mine. For his glory, not mine. For my own good as he sees fit.
