Time gets away from me!

Wow, where has the time gone? Relay has come and gone, my baby girl turned a year old, Jeremy and I have been married 6 years now, Alyssa had her first dance recital... The time slips away to easily! I am now doing some independent study courses before my Christian Ministry classes start in September. I have been singing on the Worship Team at church. I am also directing a Christian Play that we will be performing at the end of August. My life has been so busy but I am greatful, I know that I am doing what God has planned for his glory. I have never felt more alive and focused. I know it is the Holy Spirit working through me. I adopted a soldier, he is over in Afghanistan. We have been talking and I am helping him in his journey to the Lord. My mom has come around and is going to talk with Pastor Ken tomorrow. I am just witnessing God's miracles left and right and I am simply amazed! I am watching the two beautiful miracles he has given to me to raise for him and they astound me. I have never been more comfortable, at ease, and in love with my husband than I am with my relationship in HIS hands. I have given it over to him completely and he is showing me how beautiful his glory is. OH, another answered prayer... We are getting a house! Oh I could go on all night, but I am going to close for now. Until next time... God Bless!

Another Day in Paradise

I have been a busy beaver the past couple of weeks. The highlight beeing the scrapbook retreat that I got to go to with my mom. It was so much fun and I can't wait to do another one. I managed to get 45 pages done, had a relaxing two days and had a ton of fun.
I have also been busy with Relay for Life. I am a committee member this year. I am in charge of the survivor's dinner and I am so excited to be able to do something special for the people who have fought the battle and won!
I am also busting my buns at school. Trying to keep caught up with everything else that is going on in life is proving to be a challenge but one that I love. I am really enjoying my course work this month and have decided to change my major over to religous studies.
Jeremy and I are becoming more involved in church. Alyssa is really enjoying Sunday school, as am I. I am trying to get Jeremy interested in a Sunday School class, I think it would do him some good.
Well I better run for now, Alyssa is throwing a fit and my family should be here any minute for lunch. Until next time... God Bless!

Oy where does the time go!

Okay so I am a little behind. Much has happened in the past month. My Lissie turned four! How can that be? It feels like just yesterday that we welcomed her into the world. Abby is already 8 months old! Being a mother is cruel, we slave to get these miraculous beings here, we nurture them, love them, cuddle them, and they go and grow up on us!
I have been plugging away at school. I am in Psychology this month, my third trip through this subject, maybe I'll get it right this time! Home Interiors is there, I haven't really been doing much with it. I NEED CUSTOMERS!!!!
The biggest thing going on in my life right now is Relay for Life. I have become a committee member and am in charge of the dinner for the survivors. It is such an honor for me to do something special for the people who have fought so hard for their lives. I am really looking forward to doing this special event. I WILL be hunting people down for donations and fundraising!
We got excellent news today!!! Dad's PSA level is back down to 1.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That means the radiation did what it was supposed to. Now he has to be monitored every 6 months. Thanks be to almighty God for the wonders he works in our lives!
I have been going to church most Sundays now and have even started going to Sunday School. We are reading this spectacular book called "Captivating". It is teaching us how to have the woman's heart that God gave us and tells us we deserve.
Well I have chattered enough tonight. I'll do better at keeping up!

A new year has come! And with it new promise and hope for life. One of my new year's resolutions is to build a better relationship with God and I intend to do just that. I have begun to pray daily and turn over the things I can to him. I know with him all things are possible. Another resolution is to get my house organized and running smoothly. The reorganization should be in place this weekend, the running smoothly part should come over time. Resolution number three is to put aside time for me each week to scrapbook. This is my passion, the hobby I love doing most, if I don't put aside time to do it it gets lost in the shuffle of my busy life. The fourth resolution is to spend more time with my girls and less time in the everyday madness. They are so important to me and I need to show them this everyday. Well its off to start on resolution number two.

Wow!

Well it has been an interesting couple of weeks. I have been battling my depression again and I finally decided I have had enough. I went to the doctor yesterday and he talked me through some of my problems and then we decided to switch my medication. He told me I am having anxiety problems caused by the depression. The new medication should help this and even help boost my concentration. For the first time in months I feel hopefull again and am not so worried, and I haven't even taken the first pill yet!
My girls! What can I say about them. They have been so good! They are what has kept me going the past few months. Alyssa is getting to be so grown up. She helps out with Abby and helps around the house. Sometimes its hard to believe that she isn't even four yet. Abby is growing so fast. She has started creeping and is sitting up now. The other night she even tried to pull up on a laundry basket.
Jeremy is the other reason I have kept going. He is so supportive. He helps me over the low points. He helps out with the girls. He is my rock. I would be lost without him.
Well I better get going. I have lots to do today. Christmas is just three days away!

Where does the time go?

Well its been a while since I last blogged and figured I better get somethings down before I forget them. December is already here and Christmas is just around the corner. Where does the year go? Why is it when we are children with no earthly purpose but to have fun does time seem so go by so slowly but when we reach adulthood and have so much to do time just races by? Well the majority of my Christmas shopping is done I just have to get the house clean now. I don't know why we are even decorating because we are spending the holiday at mom and dad's this year. It would have been nice to spend our first Christmas in our new house actually in that new house but there are going to be too many family members to cram into our little apartment. This is what God wants, for us to be family over the holidays. Who knows when we will see Travis and his family again after they go to South Carolina. Well Abby is starting to stir and I better go fix her bottle. I have much to do today.

What a week!

It's been such a long and hectic week. It started last Wednesday and is just winding down in time to start another exciting crusade. I went up to mom and dad's last Wednesday to start getting ready for Thanksgiving. I spent some time visiting with Aaron. It was nice to just sit and talk with my brother. Then mom and dad and Jeremy all came home. We ate dinner and played with Alyssa and Abigail while we waited for Travis, Sabrina, and Sierra to show up. We got a call about 8 from Travis saying he was stuck in the snow. Jeremy and Aaron went to rescue them. When they finally got to the house at 9:30 we visited for a while and then went to bed. I spent all day Thursday in the kitchen but everyone agreed that dinner was delicious! Friday we did a bit of Christmas shopping. Saturday and Sunday we lazed around and watched the snow accumulate, 24" in all. Monday my car was stuck so we ended up staying an extra night. Tuesday we came home and I ran all over town getting things done for my business and the Christmas party I went to. I ended up sick to my stomach from the greasy lunch I ate and was miserable all evening. Note to self, no more greasy meals! Yesterday I woke up feeling icky and by afternoon figured out I caught Jeremy's cold. We went grocery shopping last night, I got cold meds, came home and took them and went to bed! I feel much better this morning. I got caught up on my classwork. Now I just have to clean my house and get ready for Jeanine to be here late tomorrow night. I have Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday and then can rest for a few days, I hope. Well I have rambled long enough for today. Off to shower and get dressed for the day!
